8 Yr5/6 Children went off to Telford Tennis Centre today, with Mrs Thomas and Mrs Henderson, where they represented NJS at the Telford and Wrekin Indoor Quick Cricket competition. The team played brilliantly, with excellent team spirit and sportsmanship towards others. There were 24 teams being represented and we were in the qualifying group with Captain Webb, Randlay, Tibberton, HLC and St Patricks. We won all of the group games and went through to the semi finals where we played St.Peters, Edgmond. winning that game by only one run! In the final we played Priorslee Academy and I am thrilled to announce we won overall!
Congratulations to all that have supported this team – who are now through to the Summer Youth Games.
Mrs Thomas and Mrs Henderson would like to praise the children for their superb behaviour and for being fantastic ambassadors for NJS and sport in general. 🙂
Please can we recommend that all payments coming into school are sent in a named envelope with the amount on the outside and purpose of the payment. We would strongly suggest that payments are placed in the locked white post box which is on the porch door to Reception.
Parents are reminded that the final payment is due this week.
Thank you to our PTA for organising a very successful fundraising disco. Thank you also to staff volunteers who enabled this event to go ahead.
Please remember that Monday 24th February is a PD Day. We return to school on Tuesday 25th February.
Thank you to everyone who attended our year 5 open lunch on internet safety this week. Here is the link to a useful website we shared which has some great tips on keeping your children safe online.
