Children will be bringing home tonight a letter about our up-coming Pet Day on Friday 4th November.
The letter explains how the day will be organised and includes a reply slip for you to send back to the class teacher.
Part of that information is about what pets you have at home and whether you would be able to bring that pet into school at some point during the day.
Teachers will then make direct contact with you if they would like you to bring that pet into school at a pre-arranged time.
Sadly, not every child will be able to have their pet brought into school.
There will be a limited number of times across the day.
The teachers will want a range of different pets to talk about with the class.
Please encourage those that are unsuccessful to bring in a photograph or information about their pet to share wit the class instead.
For children who are anxious around pets or have any pet related allergy then we will be providing ‘safe’ spaces away from the classroom for those children.
It was a very exciting and fun day the last time we had a Pet Day and we are sure the children will enjoy this one just as much as the staff do!!
Thank you,
Mr Rotherham
