As today is National Poetry Day, class 6B were inspired by the ‘Refuge’ poem and tried to write our own. We are reading the text ‘Letters From The Lighthouse’, and this looks at WW2 refugees. We talked about how similar refugees and evacuees are and felt inspired to write our own poetry. All of the poems were amazing and some people even managed to write them making sense backwards!
