Children and staff are welcomed to wear a blue item with their uniform on this date e.g. a blue hair bobble, socks, t shirt etc. There is no charge, this is to raise awareness.
Wow! Well done NJS and Henshalls Insurance Brokers
Annually Henshalls Insurance Brokers ask Art Club to produce a Christmas display for their High Street window and of course we are very happy to help!
Thank you to Art Club and staff members who have produced this excellent art work for display in our community. Thank you to Henshalls Insurance Brokers for the opportunity.

NJS Clubs
NJS clubs have now finished this week for the Autumn Term.
Well done to all of the children who have engaged in a club this half term: we hope they have enjoyed pursuing an interest alongside NJS staff.
NJS clubs are unique as they are completely free of charge and led by our own team. I’d like to express my thanks to the staff team who have led clubs this term. They have given their own time to this offer which shows their commitment to our NJS children.
Look out for details in January of our Spring Term club offer!
NJS Curriculum
We want to signpost you to the curriculum page on our school website where you can find out what your child is learning and when in each curriculum area: https://newportjuniorschool.org.uk/home/learning/curriculum/
Community Help!
Siobhan 4M and Jack 5J were invited to take part in a Church cleaning morning at St Nicholas Church in Newport. Siobhan had previously noticed that this bookcase at the front of church looked a little less loved. So they made a bee-line for the bookcase, unloaded the seemingly endless supply of books, wiped them, tried to order them and put them back. Siobhan and Jack both enjoyed themselves and they even got an invite to the next opportunity to do more for the church!
Well done you two – showing real Community Spirit in our town! Both have been awarded Community NJS badges in assembly this week!
