There are lots of unclaimed pieces of clothing that may belong to your child outside Mr Lawson’s classroom- in the Lost Property box.
Please can parents check Lost Property for missing items of uniform before we break for half term.
Thank you.

Some Year 6 children, along with Mr Humphries, went along to the Dodgeball festival this week and performed exceptionally well! With 32 team competing the results were as follows:
1st St Matthews
2nd Lawley
3rd Newport Juniors
The children were excellent, not only showing off their dodgeball skills, but they were also praised for their honesty and sportsmanship.
Well done and congratulations to all that performed!

Dear Parents and Carers,
On Tuesday 6th February we will be joining schools and youth organisations across the UK in celebrating Safer Internet Day 2024. Safer Internet Day is a global campaign to promote the safe and responsible use of technology, which calls on young people, parents, carers, teachers, social workers, law enforcement, companies, policymakers and more, to help to create a better internet. This year the campaign will be focusing on change online. This includes covering:
• Young people’s perspective on new and emerging technology
• Using the internet to make change for the better
• The changes young people want to see online
• The things that can influence and change the way young people think, feel and act online and offline.
Using the internet safely and positively is a key message that we promote in school, and celebrating Safer Internet Day is a great opportunity for us to re-emphasise the online safety messages we deliver throughout the year. We would be delighted if you could join us in celebrating the day by continuing the conversation at home.
To help you with this, the UK Safer Internet Centre have created some free activities
and information for parents and carers which are available at:
Parents and carers – UK Safer Internet Centre
Whether you have 5 minutes to start a conversation or hours to spare, there are top tips, quizzes and films which you can use at home with your child.
If you have any concerns or questions about keeping your child safe online, please do get in touch with your child’s class teacher/myself, or our Designated Safeguarding Leads: Mrs Moody, Mr Rotherham, Mr Moody or Mrs Green.
Kind regards,
Mr Butler

Please can we make all parents and carers aware that should your child be bringing a mobile phone to school then we must be made aware with a permission form.
There is no need for a child to be bringing a phone to school unless they independently walk to and from school. If this is the case for your child then the following must be adhered to:
*A permission slip completed by the parent/carer and returned to the office before the phone is brought to school.
*As soon as child reaches the school site the phone must be turned off and not used again until they leave school site.
*On arrival into school the phone is to be handed to the class teacher (Year 6) or brought to the school office (Years 3, 4 and 5).
*The phone can then be collected at 3.15pm and must be left off until the child leaves site.
We thank you for your support in keeping our school safe.
Mrs Moody
