Football Success!

A huge well done to our Upper School Boys’ Football team who competed in the quarter-final of the Telford & Wrekin Plate Competition yesterday against Coalbrookdale.

After a bright first half NJS, took a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Harvey and James, but had their lead halved when the opposition pulled a goal back leading to a very nervy second half where both teams had their fair share of chances – both goalkeepers making some fantastic saves. Hudson managed to hit the twice before Harry bagged 2 late goals to secure our place in the semi-final!

Well done boys! 🏆

Group 1 Visit to SSPP

Half of 6J and 6B visited St Peter’s and Paul’s Catholic Church this morning. Children listened to Father Lee discuss the similarities and differences between a Catholic Church and Church of England. The children had a tour of the building and learned all about how Catholics worship.

Year 6 homework- week 2

Please find attached the homework and spellings for week 2.

There are spellings, a reading activity and maths is on maths.co.uk. The reading activity has questions that are very similar to questions that are typically on a year 6 reading SATs assessment- it would be great if children could have an attempt at these.
