Please find below details of the clubs for the Summer Term which will commence from Monday!
These clubs are now available on ParentPay.
Please can we remind you:
*Once you have selected a club on Parent Pay you will have a place. You will have no further contact. If Parent Pay does not display the option to select a club then all spaces have been taken for this term. If you are unsure please contact the office for clarity.
*Please be fair to others in the quantity of clubs you access for your child: we suggest a maximum of two as being sufficient each term.
*Please remember that clubs are FREE at NJS and run by our own staff! This is an EXCEPTIONAL offer and we are extremely grateful to our team for their commitment. In return we ask that each week you check our Facebook page or website for the following week that your club is running (occasionally due to other commitments staff may need to cancel their club). We will never cancel a club on the day: if the club your child is attending cannot run for a ‘last minute’ reason we will find an alternative for your child.
*Please collect your child promptly! All after school club collection is from the gates onto the main playground closest to Avenue Road South. Staff will bring your child here for dismissal.
Please see below the club provision for the Summer term.
They will be on ParentPay accounts over night, on 17/4/24.
When they are live, please only sign your child up to clubs they will actually attend, limiting them where possible.
103 NJS children entered the Telford and Wrekin cross country league today! What a team!
We are immensely proud of all of the children, their success and sportsmanship. They were a pleasure to take.
A huge congratulations to the upper school girls football team who won their TWSCFA semi-final on Monday. They will now play in the final at the Bucks Head Stadium on 9th May!!
Well done girls!! 🏆⚽️
This morning Year 3 and 4 had a visit from Indi from Telford Gurdwara to talk about Sikhism. He was absolutely brilliant and gave us loads of information! Indi talked about the discipline he must follow in his life since he was baptised and talked all about the Gurdwara. He showed us the 5 K’s and explained what they meant to him and why he carries them. Did you know Sikhs are vegetarians and they never cut their hair! Sikhs believe that we are made in the image of God and God is perfect therefore we must look after what God has gifted to us. We learnt so much about Sikhism and the beliefs that Sikhs follow. Thank you Indi!
A wonderful experience for lower school today: Indy, from Telford Gurdwara, visited us to lead an assembly on life as a Sikh. This builds on from last year’s visit to the Gurdwara for the current Yr 4s and will give the current Yr 3s, who will be studying Sikhism this term, a brilliant insight into the religion. Our thanks to Indy and his team for helping to to build relationships across faiths in our local community.
Dear Parents / Carers

They have supported Newport Junior School for many years! Providing us with books, topic collections and they have helped to train our Junior Librarians every year!
A petition to persuade Shropshire Council to look at options to maintain the service in some form has been started.
