Beech’s Base

Year 3 have been busy at Beech’s Base 🙂

Our theme has been plants – linking to our Science inside the classroom.

We have worked hard doing lots of gardening; preparing areas for growing seeds replanting bluebells and even picked Nettles to make soup with. (This went down better than expected 🙂 !!)

In the Creativitree Area we used our artistic skills to create artwork of Tulips with sticks and forks!

We also looked at the life cycle of a flowering plant and recreated the cycle with natural items we found around Beech’s Base.

Please make sure they have a waterproof coat, as usual, and are dressed for the weather. They will also need a change of footwear and complete change of dry clothing, especially socks!
