Harvest Day
Monday 23rd October we will be holding a harvest service in school for staff and pupils only this year.
If your child would like to bring a harvest donation for Newport Foodbank we would be grateful. This could be tins, packets, long life milk, toilet rolls etc.
Be Bright Be Seen Day!
Friday 20th October is our Travel Telford day for raising awareness of the importance of being seen as dark evenings are setting in.
On this day we are encouraging children to come to school in their uniform but with one bright item! This could be socks, a hair bobble, t shirt or hi vis jacket!!
Travel Telford will be meeting as many parents and children as possible on Shuker Field car park at 8.20am to take part in a ‘be bright be seen walking bus’. Parents/carers must remain with the children for this walk. The Telford and Wrekin comms team will be at Shuker Field taking photographs and recording for their media which will really help to raise awareness for safe travel to school.
Thank you in advance for your support.

World Mental Health Day!
As today is World Mental Health Day… I thought I would share something created by ITV. ITV are trying to spread the idea of ‘Get Britain Talking’ due to the benefits this can have on our mental health.
Myself and the Guardians of Safety shared an assembly with the children yesterday! We discussed the theme for this year and ways we can help our mental health.
The task (please see below) is about opening up to difficult conversations at home. Sometimes we can be overwhelmed with our emotions and talking about them can really help.
Have a go at the task designed by ITV…
Parents Meetings
Please find attached details of forthcoming parents meetings. A paper copy of this letter will be sent home with your child: please return the slip and your child’s teacher will return it to you with confirmation of your allocated slot.
