February Sport Challenges 1st
After consuming a few too many mince pies and glasses of mulled wine over the festive season, the month of January can leave us all feeling a little sluggish. You probably started the year off with New Years Resolutions, but they have quickly faded into a distant memory. So, to mark February and a fresh start, why not set complete these stimulating sporting challenges – and really kick 2021 back into gear? Each day I will post a sporting challenge for you to complete!
1st Feb

NJS Art Challenge: Norman the NJS Snake
Hello everyone!
I hope you are all well and ready for a new art challenge. I would like all children, staff, parents and grandparents to get involved in our new art project. I would like us all to find a rock to paint and decorate to make ‘Norman’ who will be our NJS snake. This will be an ongoing art project which we can all join in over the next few weeks. I will place some rocks in the dropbox on Thursday afternoon if you are unable to find any in your garden or on a walk. Once you have decorated your rock, please pop it in the dropbox and then we can collect them as we go. I hope you all enjoy this project. I will update you on Norman’s progress as he starts to grow.
Thank you and enjoy 🙂

Mental Health Week
Next week, February 1st to 5th is Mental Health Week and we are celebrating the theme ‘Express Yourself’
Mental Health is very important and everyone’s wellbeing is valued at NJS.
We have a range of activities taking place across the week to support the children, whether they are in school or they are at home. There are challenges that the children and families can join in with.
On Wednesday the 3rd of February we are having an ‘Inside Out’ day where everyone needs to wear their clothes inside out and will be supported to share their feelings. We hope everyone in the NJS family joins in with this event.
Weekly challenges for everyone to try:
