Mental health awareness week

This week is the mental health foundation’s mental health awareness week. The theme this year is nature. This activity pack contains lots of activities and suggestions for children and tips for supporting their mental wellbeing by connecting with nature.

There is also lots of information and tips on the website on how you can support your mental wellbeing by connecting with nature: https://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/campaigns/mental-health-awareness-week

I would love to see or hear about anything you do this week to connect with nature! Please share them with me via email – megan.hardy@taw.org.uk.

Year 3 Spellings and Homework Summer 1st half

Dear Parents,

Attached is the spelling list and homework project for children this half term. Children will need to use their orange Homework Book (NOT their online home learning book) to record any work they do, which will be rewarded with house points.

Also, Year 3 swimming dates are clarified on the document attached.

Year 3 Swimming kits

Dear Parents,

As you may now be aware, Year 3 children will be swimming at school, this Monday (26.4.21).

Please could you ensure that your child has a suitable swimming kit (i.e.: not bikinis, etc) and towel, plus a swimming cap.

We can provide several hats, but we do not have enough for a full class. Children may also wear goggles if required.

Kind regards,

The Year 3 Team

Year 3 Homework books

Dear Parents,

We intend to give out homework for this half term tomorrow. Children will therefore need to bring in their orange Homework Book, to stick in any spellings or worksheets given out.

This is NOT the home learning book issued before or during lockdown (some of these may have been orange), which was used for online lessons.

If you are unable to locate their orange Homework Book, please let us know, so we can provide your child with another one.

Thank you for your continued support,

The Year 3 Team

Self-care bingo

This has been a term of mixed emotions and hard work, especially for the children, and everybody deserves a well-earned rest! Here is a self-care bingo which is a great idea to encourage children to look after themselves and do things to make themselves feel good, even if they are staying at home!

Happy Easter everyone, well done for so much hard work and positivity this term!
