Year 6 Parent Workshop: Monday 13th February 5.30pm in the School Hall
Just a reminder that we are hosting a workshop in the school hall on Monday at 5.30pm for Year 6 parents and carers.
The purpose of this workshop is to provide you with information to enable you to understand the expectations of the SATs that will take place in May and how we will organise these for your children.
If you aren’t able to attend we will send out the information on the newsletter the following day.
As always please do contact class teachers if you have any queries.
Children’s Mental Health Week
This week is Place2Be’s Children’s Mental Health Week. We are celebrating this in school with a range of activities. This year’s theme is ‘Let’s Connect’ to encourage children to think about how the connections they make can have a positive effect on their own mental health, and the mental health of others.
Of course, we are also reminding ourselves this week that mental health is our thoughts, feelings and actions, and that everyone has mental health!
These are the slides that the children have looked at in class this week. They had discussions about connections that they make regularly themselves, such as at home and school, and how these connections aren’t always talking. It can be smiling, waving, laughing with or playing with someone that makes a connection. The children then thought about some inspirational people who have made a difference to the world through connecting with others.
