Swimming Galas
Dear Parents,
As Swimming Galas at Newport town pool have begun, it has been brought to our attention that some of our spectators are arriving at the pool very early. We are fully aware of the excitement and enjoyment that both yourselves and the children get from the galas, however the early arrival of some spectators does concern the Newport pool staff. For spectators who do not realise, the town pool hold school sessions throughout the school day for other local schools, who do not have the privilege of having their own pool, like us. Therefore the session before our galas is a PE/Swimming lesson with no spectators. The issue with early arrivals and entry to the pool is a safeguarding issue for the other school and we cannot access the pool area until 2pm.
Therefore we ask that if you do arrive early for the swimming galas, you wait patiently outside in an orderly queue, allowing other children and the paying public to access the swimming pool and gym area.
We would also like to remind you that the use of photography and recording are prohibited during these sessions.
We look forward to your continuing support at future galas.
Regards
Mr Moody
