Year 6 Netball Success
On Wednesday 24th September, 9 Year six children travelled to The Langley School for a netball development session. They were incredible and only conceded 1 goal in 4 matches. Over the 4 matches 23 goals were scored and the teamwork and communication demonstrated by them was brilliant. It was a truly successful afternoon and I was a very proud teacher.

NJS Online Safety Newsletter September 2025
Dear Parents and Carers,
Online Safety Newsletter September 2025 PDF
Welcome to another year and our monthly Online Safety newsletter, offering advice and insight into the latest trends, risks, apps and developments regarding your child’s online life. The newsletter is provided and written with a local and national ‘slant’ by Knowsley City Learning Centre, for Newport area. This month’s newsletter contains information about the following:
- Coverstar – a new app, similar to TikTok – what it is, what it does, age limits, risks
- Online Scams – test your knowledge – quiz for 9-13 yr olds.
- The Online Safety Act 2023 – what it is, how it will help to protect your child, further info.
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) – What it is, opportunities, risks, concerns, how to protect your child.
- Roblox – Grow a Garden – new game on Roblox platform – risks and useful links / things to know.
- Grooming Online – what it is, what to tell your children about it and how they can recognise ‘red flag’ behaviours (via links).
Finally, my apologies for only just sending out September’s issue – it got lost in the start of term email forest! October’s issue is just around the corner, so look out for that one too.
If you have any questions or concerns about any of the points covered in this issue, please contact myself or Mrs moody for further information.
Thank you for your support,
