Year 4 have thoroughly enjoyed their trip at the Deer Park today. We enjoyed pond dipping, guessing natural objects hidden in boxes & learning about edible bugs & the amount of protein they provide us. All the children had a fantastic time.
Yesterday 4J enjoyed participating in a live V & A art lesson. They have been studying the work of Althea McNish, a textile artist who moved to the UK from Trinidad in 1951. 4J designed murals with Ms Branton which are originally used to decorate walls using collage & gallery ideas.
The children really enjoyed combining both Science & Art skills to create a whole school masterpiece in the style of Jackson Pollock’s famous number 5 abstract painting.
