Global Avengers are starting a weekly section on the school newsletter. We aim to equip young people with the knowledge, skills and confidence to act against inequality, injustice and work towards a world free of poverty. This half term we are focusing on trying to get the local newspaper into our school as well as inviting in a local MP to show them some of the amazing work our club is doing, and help to raise awareness of our aims on a national scale. We are also working towards the Global Neighbours award which is run by Christian Aid.
Did you know that with £60 you could twin a toilet in a deprived area so that a community has access to clean toilet facilities.
Did you know that there are 666,000,000 (that’s 666 million) people in the world with zero access to clean and safe water.
Did you know that at NJS alone we have 96 clean water taps and 12 clean water fountains.
We look forward to keeping you updated on the work we are doing.
