Pre Loved Uniform
Simply register using the weblink above. If you see an item you would like please ‘send a message’ stating your child’s full name and class. The school office will then send this item home with your child on the next school day. Easy!
We hope this helps families to access pre loved uniform with ease.
Please remember throughout the year we appreciate donations of pre loved uniform to NJS: please bring it to the school office (green jumpers, logo polo shirts, grey items, fleeces… all appreciated!)

Lunchtimes…
Parents/carers…
We have been working really hard to improve our lunchtime play offer for the children. Mr Lawson and the lunchtime team have introduced a wide range of ‘play zones’ which have been really popular with the children.
Obviously as we head into the Autumnal weather, we will not be able to use our field, for some of the play zones, on days like today. However, where weather allows, we would like to continue using the field through the winter. We will only allow children to use these ‘zones’ on the field if they have a change of footwear (old trainers are ideal) and a coat.
If you are able please do send your child into school with a pair of old trainers and an old coat they can use at lunchtimes.

Open Afternoon for prospective families:
Please note this Open Afternoon is for families who may be considering applying for a place at Newport CE Junior School not for families with a child currently attending.
IMPORTANT: CHOIR UPDATE!
MORE CHOIR!
We currently run Choir on Wednesday lunchtimes which we will continue to do.
However… it’s a busy time of year with Remembrance, Christmas and Young Voices to prepare for. We would like to therefore add an additional choir meeting on Wednesdays after school 3.15-4pm with Mrs Fisher and Mrs Moody. These additional Choir sessions will commence on the 4th November.

CIVIC CAROL SERVICE!
On Sunday 29th November we have been invited to attend the Civic Carol Service at St Nicholas’ Church.
If your child attends Choir and would like to perform in this service please give consent on ParentPay.
Your child will need to arrive at church at 6pm for a 6.30pm start. They should wear school uniform with a festive accessory such as Christmas ‘boppers’ or a piece of tinsel!
Families are welcomed to watch the service. If you do not wish to stay please collect your child at 7.45pm.

Yr5/6 Footballers Win Again!!
Well done to the 5/6 Footballers who played Crudgington tonight winning comprehensively 2-0! NJS created chances galore hitting the woodwork 5 times!
Big thanks to Mr Humphries for supporting the boys and a super well done to ref, Mr Howells, who managed the game effectively! On to the next round!
Wellbeing Weekly
Each week we will post some wellbeing support materials/advice that can be used by families and children. We hope you find these useful.
Parents Meetings
The teaching team are looking forward to meeting with parents/carers next week.
If you have a face to face appointment in the afternoon please arrive at school at your allocated time and make your way to the school hall. You will be able to view your child’s books whilst you wait for your teacher.
If you wish to take your child home after this meeting please go from the hall to the school office where the team will arrange for your child to meet you there.
