PTA Fundraising, can you help?!

These donations will help SO MUCH, so please sign up to support us – it’s completely FREE and doesn’t take long.

Down load the FREE  app and register, select our school pta as your cause and every time you shop online all you need to do is find your shop on the app, click to access and then shop as normal on the usual retailers webpage… even your weekly food shop will earn us a donation not just big purchases.

Beech’s Base Autumn 2024!

Beech’s Base is back!  Children will visit our outdoor learning area for at least two afternoon’s a term.  Miss Lockwood leads the sessions which will include opportunity for the children to play and explore, complete an activity linked to an area of their curriculum and enjoy some campfire cooking!

On Beech’s Base days the children need to come to school in old clothes: they must have long sleeves and long trousers.  Children will need access to wellies and waterproofs to put n as we will go in all weathers (except high winds!).

We are really looking forward to seeing the children back in school on Wednesday at 8.45am.

Meet the class meetings…

We are inviting parents/carers into school for a very short meeting with class teachers to find out some hopefully useful information ahead of the new academic year.

These meetings will be held at 3.30pm and 4pm on Monday 9th September in your child’s classroom.

Both meetings are the same so you can choose which time suits you best and if you have siblings in different year groups we hope you can attend for both.

Don’t worry if you can’t attend… all information will also be sent out on our newsletter so you won’t miss out.

Mrs M

What’s been happening over the Summer?!

Our amazing Caretaking and Cleaning team continue to manage and work on site throughout the Summer to maintain our school environment.  Some things that have taken place over the Summer:

*Deep Clean

*Painting of classrooms and the hall

*Repointed chimney on the Victorian block

*All new windows in both Victorian blocks (and new blinds coming asap!!)

*Refreshed bark on the activity area

*Gutters cleaned

*Grass cutting and hedge trimming!

*Green Club… cleared and electrics replaced… more work on this coming soon!

Huge thanks to the team.

Puddle Ducks Provision at NJS..

Local swim school Puddle Ducks North West Midlands & South Cheshire currently run baby and preschool classes in our school swimming pool for 0-4 years on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday mornings, Friday evenings and all day Sunday. Their gentle, structured, child-led approach provides the perfect opportunity to bond and nurture your child’s love for water, to learn an essential life skill which lasts forever.

In September they will be launching classes on Wednesday and Thursday evenings teaching their Swim Academy programme for 4 years+. These classes are a natural progression from their baby and preschool lessons and are taught in small ratios of 1 teacher per 4 swimmers. The classes are suitable for beginners and the focus is on water confidence, basic water safety and the foundation skills for independent swimming.

Swimming is a journey, not a destination and their lessons allow the swimmers to learn and have fun in order to progress and build confidence at their own pace.
