Swimming Cap Reminder..

Please can we remind families that we ask that when your child is swimming at NJS we ask that they bring a swimming cap. This helps to protect our filters and keep our pool running efficiently.

Remembrance Day 2025

NJS held an assembly on Tuesday to mark remembrance and observed a two minute silence at 11am. We carried out a ‘memory making’ activity after with a photograph of our NJS poppy.

Thank you to parents and carers for supporting our colour request and to staff who made this possible.

Burton Borough School Remembrance Service

NJS choir was privileged to perform at Burton Borough School Remembrance Service on Tuesday evening. The concert was held at St Nicholas’ Church and was a wonderful and emotive community event bringing together Burton Borough School choir, NJS choir, Burton Borough Concert Band and Newport Male Voice Choir.

Thank you to Burton Borough School, Mrs Green and of course our amazing choir members.

Newport Town Council Christmas Card Competition….

Huge well done from all at NJS to Oliver who won the Year 4, 5 and 6 category of the annual Newport Town Council Christmas Card Design competition! We are very proud of you Oliver and hope you enjoy the light switch on event on the 22nd November.

Congratulations To Our Artists

A huge congratulations to Sarah, Maisie, Ruby, Piper & Esmae. These artists have reached the final of Halls Young Artist Of The Year competition. The theme is ‘A Decade of Dreams.’ Their work will be on display in the Rose Patterson gallery at Weston Park between December & January. Congratulations children.

Y3/4 Cricket Success!

We had a great time this afternoon at an Indoor Cricket Festival at Telford Tennis Centre. Lots of fun and good cricket on show!

Not Just a Champion…. A WORLD Champion!!!!!

Huge, huge congratulations to Orlagh in 3M who last weekend took part in the Irish Dancing World Championships Event, which was held in Liverpool.

Orlagh competed against dancers from Ireland, USA and dancers from Eastern Europe and we are pleased to say Orlagh came out on top in her age group against lots of stiff competition!

Orlagh was placed 1st overall! Meaning she is our very own World Champion! What a super, super achievement!

Huge congratulations from all at NJS – especially dance coach Moody 😉
