Halls Young Artist of the Year

Please find attached information about a forthcoming Art Gallery at Weston Park.  We are delighted that the following children’s work will be on display in the gallery from Friday 29th November:

Layla, Zara and Jessica from Year 4.   4J also have on display a collaborative piece called ‘The Golden Path’.

Their work will displayed until the 30th of January. Gallery entry is free and once judging has taken place winners will be announced.

Head Lice

We have been made aware of two cases of head lice in school.

Please can we ask that parents and carers routinely check their children’s hair and if lice are found that you follow guidance from the NHS: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/head-lice-and-nits/

School Car Parks

We politely ask that parents and carers do not use the school car parks when dropping off or collecting children (unless you are a Blue Badge holder).  This is for the safety of pedestrians passing through our car parks from 8.30am to 4pm.

We recommend Specsavers Car Park, Shuker Field Car Park or other local car parks.

Thank you for your support.

What a special lunchtime at NJS today…. the whole school were offered ‘Libby’s Burger’!

ECB Cricket Collective Coach of the Year 2024

We are very proud of Mr Marsh who at the Cricket Shropshire Awards last weekend was named ECB Cricket Coach of the Year!  This was an award for the west Midlands Area and Mr Marsh will now go through to the National Cricket Awards with all other regional winners in early 2025.  This is a super achievement.

Cricket Shropshire said: ‘Tom has been described as ‘going above and beyond’ for all of the juniors at their club. He is always ensuring training and matches go on throughout the Summer and the Winter. A dedicated coach with a passion for development, Tom really does everything in his power to get the game on!’

Thank you NJS Staff…

Next week is the last week of Autumn Clubs at NJS… we close early due to the nights drawing in, weather and the need to prepare for Christmas events!

I wanted to express my thanks to the NJS team for all they do to run such a wide range of clubs at NJS and ALL for free!  We have held a total of 27 clubs this term, this is exceptional and makes such a difference to the wellbeing and development of our children.

I am sure parents, carers and children will join me in their thanks to the staff team.
