Sporting Success Yr 4 Boys!

Well done to Byron and Casper who were winners in the Telford league winter series shield final on Sunday, winning 3-1 against Dawley. Both the boys played half a game in goal and half a game outfield both being instrumental in securing the win with their newly developed team this season. Well done boys, all at NJS are super proud!

Newport Big Sing

Thank you to Burton Borough School for hosting the Newport Big Sing 2026.  Our NJS Choir did us proud with their performances and it was a great community event bringing children together through music.

Thank you to Mrs Ollerenshaw for preparing the choir so brilliantly and to Mrs Moody, Miss Lockwood and Mrs Jones for accompanying them on the evening.

Easter Senior Citizens Tea Party

Well done and thank you to Years 4 and 5 for hosting our annual Easter Tea Party.  The donations of cakes and raffle prizes was wonderful.  Well done to the performers in Year 4, Year 5, the School Choir and individual musicians.

Thank you to our visitors for making this event so joyous.

Dinner Arrears

Please can we ask all families to log onto ParentPay and check that dinner money is in credit.  As we approach the end of the financial year next week any arrears become the responsibility of the school which then impacts on school budget.

Easter Church Service

Thank you for everyone’s patience this morning when the church wasn’t unlocked on our arrival.

Everything was quickly rectified by the wonderful team at St Nicholas’ and our service was underway as usual around 9am.

We had a lovely service of reflection and the children sang with wonderful spirit.
