Wax Work Museum: Thursday!!!!!!
We are so excited for our biennial Wax Work Museum next Thursday!
Some points for the day:
*Your child should come to school in their uniform and bring their costume in a carrier bag to put on after lunch (so they don’t get spoilt during the morning).
*Children will be in position around school posed as a Wax Work of a person who inspires them! We have a super selection we are very excited to share with you! Alongside the children will be writing they have produced informing you about their person and why they are inspiring.
*Year 3 and 4 parents are invited in from 2pm to 2.20pm and then Years 5 and 6 parents from 2.40 to 3pm. (It is important we have a break between as the children will have been standing still a long time!)
*Entrance and exit for this event will be through the security gate at the school office. We will not open the gates before 2pm.
*If you have a child in both groups please chose a time slot to come.
*Parents will need to visit the whole museum in order to see your child: please keep to the route marked out.
*We will have to ask all families to leave at 3pm in order to have the children ready for 3.15pm collection.
*Children cannot be collected early on Thursday otherwise our museum will not be full! Collection will be as usual at 3.15pm.
We are so excited for this event and hope you enjoy this with us.

Pre Loved Uniform Reminder!

Newport CE Junior school has signed up to the above platform to enable parents to order pre loved uniform for free!
Simply register using the weblink above. If you see an item you would like please ‘send a message’ stating your child’s full name and class. The school office will then send this item home with your child on the next school day. Easy!
We hope this helps families to access pre loved uniform with ease.
Please remember throughout the year we appreciate donations of pre loved uniform to NJS: please bring it to the school office (green jumpers, logo polo shirts, grey items, fleeces… all appreciated!)

Wear your SCARF next Friday!
To mark the end of Children’s Mental Health Week, on Friday 13th February we invite everyone to wear a scarf.
SCARF represents our values for children of Safety, Caring, Achievement, Resilience and Friendship.
We are dedicating our SCARF DAY to our loved and missed Mrs Green. All who knew her knew of her extensive scarf collection! Mrs Green demonstrated the SCARF values in every area of her life, so we will especially remember her today.
(There is no charge and scarves can be worn with usual uniform.)

I can only apologise I hadn’t communicated this before 1st February: the original price change was due later in the year and then moved and I forgot to adjust this in my diary to send notification in advcance.
Best wishes
