A great day was had by 20 Y5/6 children today playing a Kwik Cricket tournament at Telford Tennis Centre.

Our 2 teams played each other in the final with NJS 2 coming out on top in a thriller by 5 runs. As I told the children, catches win matches.

4PW Beeches Base afternoon!

4PW went to Beeches Base and while they were there they took part in a range of activities such as; making magnet fishing rods, den building and the mud kitchen. The fishing looked great and was enjoyed by all which links to our science topic this half term!

Wolves Women Mascot: Well done Ella!

Ella had the opportunity to be mascot for Wolves Women in their FA Cup match against Manchester United Women at The SEAH Stadium, Telford United.

Ella is an avid football fan playing locally for Newport Girls Jaguars team, and has been following Wolves Women for the last few years. So much so that during the inspiration day at school in previous years she has dressed up as Beth Merrick, a Wolves Women Player.

A few weeks ago Beth asked Ella personally to be her mascot for the biggest day of the season for Wolves Women last weekend.

Well done Ella, everyone at NJS is very proud of you.

Careers Fair

Huge thank you to everyone who came along and inspired our children at our 2025 Careers Fair.  This was an amazing opportunity to help the children to understand how the skills they learn today can open opportunities for the future.  An event thoroughly enjoyed by the children and staff.

Term Dates!

Terms dates for the next two years are all on the website:

Please do check these in advance of booking any holidays.

Newport Churches Together…

Huge thank you to the Newport Churches Together group who marked ‘Pray for Schools Week’ with a donation of prayers and cakes for the staff team.

This was definitely appreciated the week before half term!

A Wonderful Careers Day!

Thank you to all those that were able to give up their time this afternoon to support our Careers Day. The children loved the opportunity to talk to you all, ask questions about the different jobs on display in the hall and to get the autograph of Luke Pollard MBE was a huge treat!
