Pre Loved Uniform at NJS

Newport CE Junior school has signed up to the above platform to enable parents to order pre loved uniform for free!

Simply register using the weblink above.  If you see an item you would like please ‘send a message’ stating your child’s full name and class.  The school office will then send this item home with your child on the next school day.  Easy!

We hope this helps families to access pre loved uniform with ease.

Please remember throughout the year we appreciate donations of pre loved uniform to NJS: please bring it to the school office (green jumpers, logo polo shirts, grey items, fleeces… all appreciated!)

Parents Online Safety Session video – Summer 2026

Dear Parents and Carers,

Available for you to watch now is the latest Online Safety video from Knowsley City Learning Centres. The focus for this term’s session is very current and focusses on Live streaming and seeks to advise how to deal with this subject with your child. The link below should take you to the website to watch the video.

Here is the link to the slides being discussed/shown:

Parents Online Safety Briefing May_26

Having watched it myself, and thinking as a parent, it does address some of the key issues faced by most parents, specifically about how to monitor smartphone use, risks and what type of content children are watching/being exposed to, when and how to talk to your child about their online habits and more.

If you are time poor, it is possible to speed up the video playback speed via clicking the ‘cog’ on the bottom right of the playback window, and I would recommend watching from at least the 29 minute-mark to the end. Gary Melia (the presenter) does take questions at the end, some of which are around the perennial question of ‘When should I introduce my child to a Smartphone’.

If you require any further information, please contact myself or Mrs Moody via the School Office.

Kind regards,

Mr Butler
