Newport Rugby Club… FREE opportunity!

Thank you to Immi’s Cakes & Bakes

These 12 cupcakes were generously donated to our school by local business ‘Immy’s Cakes & Bakes’ to support out cake sale during Friday’s Clean Water Day! The sale of these cakes contributed towards our final donation amount which will help Water Aid to support communities across the globe in the fight for access to clean water.

We appreciate the support that this wonderful local business has shown to our school!

Yr 6 Successful London Trip

A massive shout out to the the wonderful Year 6 children who attended our annual London trip this week. Their behaviour and attitude were superb!

And a huge thank you to the staff who supported them on this trip – without them it wouldn’t happen!

+ Mr Rotherham, Mrs Moody and Mrs Case!

Yr 6 – Children Who Stayed at NJS

We have had a fab day, we started off researching the Galapagos Islands for Geography and the children made and presented power points.

We have run a bunting sweatshop for the carnival whilst enjoying our favourite songs, we even had an impromptu concert from Charlie, Roman and Alfie.

This afternoon we have enjoyed a taskmaster style game afternoon with the children competing in various tasks against each other With Mrs Yates hosting as the Taskmaster and Judge. Games have included, blind portrait drawing, paper plane races, freeze frame drama, Heads down for 2 mins and my least favourite… guess the taskmasters age in minutes!

Yr 5/6 Rounders – Make Shropshire Finals

Well done to the NJS team who have successfully made the Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin School Games County Finals.

Huge congratulations to them and coach Humphries!!
