NJS Children with Newport Hockey Club

Well done to all the children from NJS who played Hockey last weekend. The Juniors shone brightly at the annual Barford Tigers Hockey Club tournament. First up were the U10s, who fielded two teams, they came home as tournament winners and in third placed positions. Top class team performances.

Well done to the NJS family at this event.

*To look after their hoodie, it is their responsibility.

*Not to wear it when it is hot.. they will get too warm!

(PLEASE NOTE: the supplier has had an issue with printing and the names in the 25 are not correct.  The supplier has apologised and will be replacing all of the hoodies for corrected ones within the next two weeks)

School Games – Platinum Award for NJS!

We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the School Games Mark Award for the 2024/25 academic year.

The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.

With a total of young people competing in local inter-school competitions this year, we are extremely proud of our pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport, including those young volunteers, leaders and officials who made our competitions possible.

As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce and clubs, and we are pleased that the hard work of everyone at our school has been rewarded this year.

Thank you for all the sport support.
