Pet Day at NJS 4/11/22

Thank you to all of the parents who are taking time out of their busy schedules to visit school with their child’s pet. We have a wide variety of pets visiting classes from dogs and cats to bearded dragons and snakes. NJS staff will ensure that any nervous or allergic children are well away from the pets coming into their classrooms.

As volunteers giving up your time to come to school, please may I ask:

  • You come and sign in and out by school reception through the main visitor entrance.
  • You visit your child’s classroom at the appropriate time waiting by the classroom outside door – you will be shown this on arrival.
  • You are aware that some children may find your animal terrifying even if you say they are friendly and you refrain from sharing/stroking “for all”.
  • You leave with your animal once you have shared it in the class you are visiting, signing out as you leave.
  • You bring everything your pet needs, in terms of waste, and take this away with you as we cannot dispose of this.

If you are unable to attend but your child has prepared something to share with their class, please email this to your child’s class teacher or send it in on an appropriate memory stick.

Many thanks for your support with what is hopefully a super day for all.
