Year 6 Leavers Party

Year 6 children are invited to stay at school until 5pm on Thursday for their Leavers Party.

Please bring a change of clothes; ideally PE style clothing as there will be a range of activities organised by the staff!

Children will be offered chip shop chips, ice cream and a drink for their party tea!

Please wait outside the hall at 5pm on Thursday to collect your children.

Please can we remind you that homework is posted in the classes, homework section on our website and will no longer be Parent Mailed to you.

Please can we encourage you to ensure that you subscribe to alerts from our website by clicking on the newsletter link.  Also you will need to ensure that you subscribe to the correct year group for September!

Grand Day Out!

It is Grand Day Out at NJS tomorrow!  We are very pleased that Newport Infant School children will be joining us for our annual end of year celebration!

  • Lunch is as normal – children may bring packed lunch or order a school meal.
  • Please send children to school in their PE kit, with trainers, a water bottle and sun hat.

Newport Show

We hope that many of you had a great time at Newport Show today and managed to pop into the Schools Marquee to see our display.

Huge congratulations to our photography workshop winners:

Well done to the Eco Group for looking after our potato crop; we finished 4th!  (this is a massive improvement on last year!)

Party in the Park Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who came along tonight and supported Party in the Park.

Well done to the children who performed amazingly; we are so proud of you.

Thank you to the PTA’s for organising refreshments and to Mr and Mrs Crewe for organising the sound system.

Final thank you to the staff for preparing the children for their brilliant performances.
