Year 6 Transition

Newport Junior School liaises very carefully with all three secondary schools in our area and has built strong transitional links with all three. Our annual aim is to make the transfer to secondary a positive and natural experience.
The three secondary schools are proud of the academic standards achieved by their pupils and they work co-operatively in a number of areas.
School options in the Newport area are:

Adams Grammar LogoAdams’ Grammar is a voluntary aided school for boys. Its history dates back to 1656. It is a selective school with its own co-ed sixth form and also boarding facilities.
