We are looking for a Money Wise sponsor…. can you help?

We are reaching out to the community to ask whether a local business (especially a business linked to finance perhaps who needs to evidence corporate responsibility) may be interested in sponsoring some ‘money sense’ workshops for our children.

Families, schools and businesses have a responsibility to ensure our children are educated in ‘money matters’…. how money works, how to manage money and the language of money are essential for them to develop positive money habits for life.

We have recently met with Paul from Money Wise and would really like to offer his workshops and resources to our classes at NJS.

There would be a cost of £200 per year group for three workshops.  Companies could sponsor one or all!

If you are or know of a business interested in working with us on this project please ask them to drop me an email nicola.moody@taw.org.uk

More information on Money Wise can be found here: https://pdflink.to/f965eddb/

Collection of children from NJS….

I just wanted to take the opportunity to give parents/carers some reminders about our expectations and procedures for the safe dismissal of children at the end of the school day:

*Teachers will bring the class to their exit gate lined up and will dismiss children one at a time.  We ask that parents/carers are patient to allow teachers time to ensure each child is dismissed safely.

*We ask that parents/carers stand back from the line so the children can see if their adult is there and so adults can see who is at the front of the line.

*When you see your child at the front of the dismissal line please step forward to take your child from the teachers care.  Teachers will not dismiss the children until you are evidently there to take your child.

*We dismiss children between 3.15pm and 3.25pm: staff will be at the exit gates until 3.25pm.  At 3.25pm gates will be locked and any children who aren’t collected will be brought to the office and a telephone call made to check arrangements.

*Teachers are very happy to talk with you at the end of the day.  Please respect they can only do this once the children in their care have been dismissed.  Please wait until the children have been dismissed and then we welcome you to approach the teachers if you need anything.

*Please remind your child on a regular basis that if they are ever unsure about their arrangements for collection to ask their teacher who will of course make any necessary calls or checks so they can reassure the child.

*IF your child (Years 5 and 6) has consent to walk home teachers will dismiss them in accordance with this permission.  Please ensure your child knows your expectations for their walk home and remind them of this regularly.

*IF your child is attending a club at NJS then they will need to be collected at 4pm from the main playground.  The gates to the main playground will be opened at 4pm, clubs will be lined up and teachers will dismiss as above.

I hope this helps to clarify expectations and arrangements.  The NJS team are very grateful for your support.
