A parent has brought to our attention an incident from this morning where a car mounted the pavement outside school. The parent stated that the car in question mounted the kerb and was very close to the four children who were walking to school. She was rightly concerned for the danger posed to our children outside our school.
As road users we request that parents are mindful of children and parents using the pavements along Avenue road and do not mount the kerb in your car.
As pedestrians using the pavements we request you keep watchful on your way to and from school to keep yourself safe always.
