Red Nose Day – Friday 15th March
Comic Relief Day is this Friday and the School Council have been giving some thought as to how we can help raise money.
On Friday children can come to school dressed in their pyjamas, dressing gowns and slippers! (A change of shoes will be needed for walking to school and for playing outside at playtime). Children will pay £1 to come in their PJs.
Children may also wear their Red Noses if they have one.
We will be holding a Danceathon during the day, where all classes will have time in the hall to dance for Red Nose Day.
As well as this the school council will to start a Joke Box Challenge.
For a donation of 20p children can put a joke into the Joke Box. They may add more than one joke, but each joke will be 20p.
Teachers will be asked to pull out jokes from the joke box to share with the whole school in assembly that day.
Book Fair
Last day of our Bookpeople Book Fair on Monday 3.30 – 4.30 in the School Library.
A great selection of books by authors such as Jacqueline Wilson, David Walliams, Cressida Cowell, Jeff Kinney, Mo Farah.
Prices start from £3.
Please pop in for a look.
Book Fair
Our Book Fair was open today in the library between 3.30pm and 4.30pm.
The book fair will be open again Wednesday, Thursday and the following Monday (11th March).
Sadly we have been informed by the company who are running the Book fair that they do not accept the World Book Day vouchers. This will be disappointing I am sure for all our children who were hoping to spend them at the fair.
Book Fair
There will be a Book Fair after school next week in the school library.
It will be open on the following days:
Tuesday 5th March, Wednesday 6th March, Thursday 7th March and Monday 11th March (especially for all those Year 5 children who are at Arthog next week)
It will be open between 3.30pm and 4.30pm
Children will be bringing home their World Book Day vouchers today, which they are able to spend at the book fair if they wish.
Further advice regarding Momo
Following on from yesterdays post about Momo, I would like to share this advice page which is aimed at parents.
Safeguarding Alert – Momo
Parents please be aware of this new online gaming concern.
Some children in school are talking about accessing Momo through WhatsApp and YouTube. It’s content is very worrying and we suggest parents discuss this with their children at home.

Safer Internet Day
Today is National Safer Internet Day. The children will be talking in assembly about the importance of keeping safe while engaging in online activities.
Parents might find this document useful. It is a fact sheet about TikTok, a video sharing app which many of the children are using.
