Tag Rugby in 6B

Class 6B had fun in their PE lesson this morning. We continued our topic of tag rugby and practised passing backwards, whilst running with the ball. We also played games of ‘tag’ whilst trying to rip the tags off each other. Well done 6B!

Yesterday, class 6B learnt all about how to correctly throw and catch a rugby ball in their first ‘Tag Rugby’ PE lesson.

Observational drawing in 6B art

Today class 6B learnt about Clarice Cliff and their first art lesson. We cut citrus fruits and tried to have a go at an observational drawing of the inside of the fruit. Well done everybody!

6B Beech’s Base & swimming

Dear parents,

Class 6B have Beech’s Base tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon. Please come to school dressed in forest school clothes, with a change of footwear, along with swimming kits.

Year 6 BBS students

On Monday 24th June, year 6 students are invited to BBS to participate in some sporting activities, after school. Children are welcome to come to school dressed in their NJS PE kit.

We hope that this makes things a little easier on the day.

 

Alton Towers tomorrow

Year 6 are VERY excited about our visit to Alton Towers tomorrow (Monday)! Here are some reminders:

  • Arrive at school for 8:30am for an 8:45am departure.
  • Bring a packed lunch, unless in receipt of free school meals and pre-ordered from kitchen.
  • Wear suitable clothing for the weather, e.g., raincoat/ cap
  • Wear closed-in shoes
  • If warm, pack sun cream
  • Pack a refillable water bottle
  • Children are allowed to bring £5 to spend in the gift shop.
  • We will be back at school for approximately 6:30pm. Please keep checking Facebook for a more accurate time.

Alton Towers Monday

Year 6 photography trip

A reminder that year 6 are going to Chetwynd Deer Park tomorrow (Wednesday 5th June). They will need to wear comfortable, weather appropriate forest school clothes. They will also need access to a camera. Lunch will be as normal at lunch time.
