Let’s Connect!
Children are continuing to complete activities and have discussions about connecting with others as part of Place2Be’s Children’s Mental Health Week.
Here is some more detailed information about how connections with others can have a positive impact:
Children’s Mental Health Week
This week is Place2Be’s Children’s Mental Health Week. We are celebrating this in school with a range of activities. This year’s theme is ‘Let’s Connect’ to encourage children to think about how the connections they make can have a positive effect on their own mental health, and the mental health of others.
Of course, we are also reminding ourselves this week that mental health is our thoughts, feelings and actions, and that everyone has mental health!
These are the slides that the children have looked at in class this week. They had discussions about connections that they make regularly themselves, such as at home and school, and how these connections aren’t always talking. It can be smiling, waving, laughing with or playing with someone that makes a connection. The children then thought about some inspirational people who have made a difference to the world through connecting with others.
