Hot Weather

In light of the Amber Weather warning for hot and humid weather some reminders:

*Please ensure children come to school with a filled water bottle. We will ensure they are kept hydrated throughout the day.

*Please send children with a sun hat.

*Please apply sun cream before your child comes to school and send them with cream they can reapply during the day.

*Please ensure the children have lose, cool clothing… shorts, t shirt, summer dress. If you feel PE kit will be cooler for your child we are happy for this to be worn this week including trainers.

CLUBS CANCELLED THIS WEEK…

Due to the weather warning we are cancelling all clubs for the rest of this week.

If your child was due to attend a club and collection at 3.15pm isn’t possible for you please email njs.admin@taw.org.uk and we will arrange to supervise your child in school.

Year 3: Deer Park Visit Update….

Morning Year 3 families

In light of the forecast for tomorrow we have decided to cancel the visit to the Deer Park. It will be very hot for the children to walk there and back as well as then spending the day outside.

We don’t want to lose the transition opportunity with Newport Infant School so they will instead be spending the day here at NJS with us.

Please can children wear PE kit and bring a water bottle and packed lunch as planned as we will have a picnic with Year 2 as part of our rearranged day.
