Free School Meal Vouchers

Please note that nationally the online system managing vouchers for Free School Meals has had some issues.  We are hopeful these issues have been resolved and vouchers should be issued within the next 24 hours.

Vouchers will then be issued, by email, on a weekly basis.

Thank you for your understanding.

Statement this afternoon from Telford and Wrekin Council:

We know that some of you have not received your free school meals voucher which was due to be sent from your child’s school via the Government’s e-voucher scheme. We have contacted the Department for Education to find out why there has been a hold-up with processing the vouchers. We have now heard from them and they have informed us that the number of orders placed on the Edenred system by schools across the country has seen a higher than anticipated number, which has had a huge impact on the performance and experience on the system which has slowed things down significantly.

Edenred teams have worked over the Easter weekend to process the orders from schools and have now improved their system’s capabilities for the weeks ahead. They are also making improvements every day, which will make ordering easier going forward.

We know this is not an ideal situation for families but this is something which is being managed by central government and is out of the control of schools and the Council.

If you have not yet received your vouchers, we would ask you to be patient as last weeks’ orders should be processed very soon and will be with you shortly.’
