This coming Friday, it is Mufti day in exchange for £1 for Children in Need. Mr Rotherham has done a letter on the website explaining a little more about a visitor we may have….
Next week is the start of Bikeability for some children. If this concerns your child, please return the permission slip for your child if you haven’t done so already.
Can children in 5M not doing Bikeability on Monday please bring an old shirt that can be ruined, we will be painting and using pastels Monday afternoon.
Swimming will continue as normal for the children not doing Bikeability on Tuesday.
Finally, speaking for 5M, your children are ploughing through an absolute avalanche of work currently and rising to the challenge well. They have coped with raised expectation of Y5 and I felt it was appropriate this was recognised.
Our Y6 team won at Ladygrove this afternoon 6-1 to send us through to the next round where we will definitely be at home. The boys all put in an excellent performance on a tough, muddy pitch!

Friday – Viking Day. All children are welcome to come to school dressed in Viking style clothes if they wish.
This morning, Mr Marsh led an Assembly on Black History Month and recognising what it means to be Black and British. Celebrating our culture, heritage and race was something that all children thought about. Back in class, each year group then completed work on a particular famous black female sporting icon.
Our Y6 (&1 Y5) after their football tournament. The boys played excellently in a very competitive tournament alongside 5 other schools. We finished a very pleasing second, with 2 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat. A top afternoon.
Monday – Harvest Assembly 9am.
Tuesday – P. E PM with Miss Robson will be OUTDOORS due to the hall being in use for Y4 Parents Meetings.
Wednesday – Y5 Parents Meetings. Phone calls and Teams Meetings in the morning and in-person chats in the afternoon.
Thursday – P. E PM OUTDOORS due to Y6 Parents Meetings in the hall.
Friday – Black History Workshop AM and PTA Film PM. Mufti Day for children and children can also bring in a comfort blanket, cushion or teddy for the afternoon. I will be moving tables in the classroom during lunch.
Just a quick note to say that the Quidditch taster on Tuesday at Telford Tennis Centre has been cancelled due to venue availability. It will be rescheduled for later in the school year however.
