5K Beech’s base

5K has Beech’s base on Friday (11th) afternoon.
Like last time, children can wear their Beech’s base clothing into school and bring a pair of wellies and warm coat to wear.
We have PE still in the morning and children will need their kits.

Eat well food diary – for Monday 7th/Tuesday 8th October

The children in year 5 will be coming home with a blank food diary. Please can you encourage them to add what they eat over the next week ready for the workshop.

Please find an image of the diary below…

Year 5 and 6 – BBS music assembly!

What a fantastic assembly year 5 and 6 had this afternoon with some staff from BBS. They were lucky enough to listen to some different instruments from the woodwind and brass families! Some children were even able to learn Mary had a little lamb in 5 minutes!

We will shortly be sending home letters for anyone who would be interested in lessons with a woodwind or brass instrument.

A big thank you to BBS for coming to our school! We all loved it!

5OP Beech’s Base Change!

Good afternoon,

Please note that children in 5OP will now visit Beech’s Base on MONDAY 2ND DECEMBER instead of Wednesday 23rd October. This is due to a clash with parent’s afternoon.

I will send some reminders near the time!

Many thanks,

Mrs Ollerenshaw

Calling New Global Avengers

Mr Jones is on the hunt for his new team of Global Avengers!

This is a club set up for children who want to make a difference to the world around them; be the voice for those who can’t speak for themselves.

In recent years, Global Avengers spearheaded a campaign for Toilet Twinning, where we managed to put toilets in 5 of the poorest parts of the world: Shropshire Star Link.

This year, we are hoping to embark on a new global project, where the children will lead the way in being advocates of change and making a difference to those most in need.

This club meet every Thursday lunch time in 6J. If you think it is something you would be interested in, please sign up on Parent Pay or speak to Mr Jones for more information!
