A reminder for all parents that flu immunisation forms need to be completed and returned to school as soon as possible please, even if the child is not having it.
Many thanks,
Mr Rotherham
The PTA would like to remind parents of two upcoming events.
School Disco – Friday 25th November.
School will finish at the normal finish time.
Children asked to donate £3 (£1 for mufti and £2 for entrance to the disco where they will be given some sweets, a packet of crisps and a bottle of water).
Christmas Fair – Friday 9th December
On this day, children will be able to visit the hall in the afternoon and take part in some Christmas themed games. There will be a toy and games stall as well as a book stall.
To help with this we would appreciate your donations of toys/ games and books that you no longer require, that are in good condition, for somebody else to buy.
Children will need to bring in some money with them that day if they wish to buy anything from these stalls.
Similar to the disco, the PTA will be asking children to wear mufti for £1 and will provide some treats for £2.
Thank you.
The Guardians of Safety are a pupil group who focus on the safety and wellbeing of everyone at NJS. On Tuesday, The Guardians of Safety presented an assembly to the whole school about bullying. They reminded everyone what bullying is and what bullying isn’t. They also reminded the children of all the people at NJS that they can go to for help and support.
Well done and thank you, Guardians of Safety!
A Guide to Bullying for Parents
Bullying is repetitive targetted behaviour that involves an imbalance of power.
This week is anti-bullying week and we will be marking this throughout the week at NJS. https://anti-bullyingalliance.org.uk/anti-bullying-week/anti-bullying-week-2022-reach-out
Tomorrow (Monday) children will be all taking part in a BBC live lesson on anti-bullying.
Unfortunately we are cancelling the planned coffee afternoon tomorrow due to ill health of the school educational psychologist, who was due to lead the meeting.
We have been able to book a new date for the meeting later in the month. Julie will be leading the meeting on emotion coaching on Monday 28th November at 1.30pm.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and look forward to seeing you on 28th.
Unfortunately we need to cancel Beech’s Base tomorrow: apologies for any disappointment.
Seren in year 5 has lost her green NJS fleece. It is size 9-10 and it has her name in it. Please check in case you accidentally have it!
