Every child in the school will today be bringing home a letter about our efforts to support those affected by the war in Ukraine.
The Global Avengers Team are working to collect donations which can be sent over to families and offer them some much needed support with essential items. Please refer to the letter to establish which items are required.
There will be boxes ready to collect donations from each of the entry/exit gates from Monday 7th March. Please use the attachment to access the letter if necessary.

Guess who visited NJS today! What an experience! Perry the Bull, the Commonwealth Games Mascot, came to our school to meet us!
We had an amazing assembly with Amber and Perry. We learnt a lot about the Commonwealth Games: about the sports involved, the countries who participate and of course about Perry’s design!
Thank you to everyone who was able to join us for the parade this morning: a wonderful opportunity for the children to proudly share their costumes!

Please can I remind parents and carers on behalf of local residents that we need to be considerate of parking arrangements on Avenue Road.
Where possible please do walk/cycle/scoot to school. If you do need to drive to school please do use one of the town car parks and walk from there.

Just a reminder that tomorrow is World Book Day!
Children are welcome to school dressed as their favourite book character, we can’t wait to see their costumes.
If you would like to view a short parade of the children please make your way to the main playground for 9am and stand around the outside of the playground. Class groups will parade their costumes for you!

Dear Parents and Carers,
We are writing to let you know that we have been informed today that we will receive a visit from OFSTED tomorrow for a Section 8 inpsection which will take place over two days. I have attached the notification letter from OFSTED for your attention.
OFSTED (and ourselves!) would be very grateful if you could take the time this evening to complete the ParentView questionnaire which is linked in the attached letter. This will enable the inspectors to understand your views on our school.
The staff and Governors at NJS welcome this inspection: it is an opportunity to celebrate the work of our school family. NJS is a very special place and we are especially proud of the way we have worked alongside parents and carers during the pandemic to achieve the very best support for our children.
