NJS is in school on Friday and we finish at 3.15 as usual.

As you will be aware this morning we gave families the option to collect their children after 1 if they felt they wished to do so.

We wanted to thank you all for your patience whilst we coordinated this at 1o’clock today.  We are aware some of you waited a little while whilst we gathered your children and we are grateful to you for your support.  Huge thanks to the amazing staff who rallied round to locate and sign out your children safely.

Temperatures are set to be much cooler tomorrow so please can we ask that children return to uniform.  The school day will return to normal with the usual school meal service, break time and lunch times.  It would still be very sensible to send your child with a water bottle, sun hat and sun cream.

The children have been amazing over these last two days: we are so proud of how sensible they have been and how carefully they have followed our advice to keep safe.

Thank you NJS: parents/carers, children and staff. I am looking forward to a much cooler Wednesday!

Thank you to everyone who has supported NJS during the Red Weather Warning.

We are so grateful for those who have sent their children fully prepared for the warm weather: thank you.

Huge thanks to the staff who have managed the heat for themselves as well as the children: they have done a great job so much so that the children tell me they have had a fabulous couple of days!  (I think the ice lollies and ice cream helped!)

Thursday 21st July: Leavers Day!

8.45am Leavers Service at St Nicholas’ Church: Year 6 Parents and Carers welcome to attend.

Back at school: Shirt signing!  Year 6 are welcome to bring a t shirt and a Sharpie for staff and friends to sign their good luck messages.

Leavers Lunch: Year 6 have chosen the menu!  Children can order on the day and usual charges apply which can be made on ParentPay.

3.15-5pm Leavers Party!  Children may bring a change of clothes to wear to their party: tie dye t shirt will be perfect!

All of the NJS staff will supervise the children for their chosen ‘Beach Themed’ Leavers Party including Mocktails, Jones’ chip shop chips and ice cream!  (If you have any concern about dietary requirements please contact me)

Please collect Year 6 at 5pm from the main playground.
