World Book Day Reminder

World Book Day - World Book Day | World Book Day is a registered charity. Our mission is to give every child and young person a book of their own.

We are very much looking forward to World Book Day tomorrow and seeing the children’s wonderful costumes.  Please remind your child to bring their book with them!

 

A reminder for parents/carers… if you would like to make your way to the main playground after drop off we will bring the classes out for a parade in their costumes.  This should take around 20 minutes maximum.

This will be weather dependent so please do check our Facebook page if it’s not looking great!

Shrove Tuesday in Year 3

Year 3 celebrated Shrove Tuesday (Pancake Day) with lemon and sugar. The children learnt about the history of pancake day, the religious aspect of Shrove Tuesday and lent and even got to eat a pancake as well as practicing their tossing skills!

Thanks to Mrs J, Miss Whitehouse and Miss Compton – the batter queens!

(due to timings some children will have their pancakes on Wednesday!)

Good deed locally…

Jess from 3M, whilst walking her dog on Saturday afternoon noticed all the rubbish at the park. She asked her Mum if they could go back with their litter pickers & clear it up, so she spent Saturday afternoon litter picking & filled the bag full of rubbish. Well done Jess – NJS are super proud of your efforts!
