Website Issues!

Timely (like the electrics last night!) but our website is being ‘difficult’ and staff are struggling to get the home learning on.

If you don’t get an email with tomorrows learning pack please be patient…it’s coming and will be on the class page as soon as we are able!

Microsoft Teams Lessons Tomorrow

Daily online lessons start tomorrow!

Tomorrow staff will be simply ensuring the children can use the technology (as best as we can from afar) and talking to the children about what will be happening over the next few weeks.

Please ensure:

*Children are ready to start at the time indicated on your ParentMail.

*Children enter the lesson on Mute.

*Children do not use the chat function.

*Children are mindful of their background.

If you have not received the link please email me and i will send this to you.

Take care

URGENT UPDATE RE SCHOOL CLOSURE

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am sure, like ourselves, you have heard the news of immediate school closures this evening.  We have learnt this news at the same time as yourselves and hope you appreciate we have as many questions as yourselves about plans moving forward!

This is late notice and notice late in the day….School leaders have no guidance for this announcement yet however we know we are closed to pupils except those who are vulnerable or children of keyworkers.

We ask for your support over the next 24 hours as we plan and prepare to move forward and support the wellbeing of our staff at this time.  We will therefore commence remote learning from Wednesday.

The children are at the heart of everything we do: we want to get this right for them and I know the team will already(!) be busily forming ideas of how they can support their classes.  Please allow teachers the time to do this, they will be in touch over the coming day and will be available by email moving forward.

We ask that tomorrow if you can possibly keep your vulnerable or keyworker child at home that you do so to enable us to prepare for provision from Wednesday.  We however, do not want to let anyone down, so staff will be on the gate in the morning to welcome children who arrive (please use the appropriate year group gates and timings from last term for tomorrow).  If children can bring a packed lunch tomorrow and wear uniform until we have further information and guidance.

Please complete the attached keyworker form if your child needs a place in school during this period and email it to andrew.rotherham@taw.org.uk by 12pm tomorrow.  We will then communicate directly with you tomorrow afternoon with arrangements from Wednesday. KEYWORKER FORM 2021

Thank you all in anticipation of your support at this time.  We can assure you we will do our very best for your children over the coming weeks.

Take care and stay safe.

Start of Term….

CURRENTLY the guidance for ourselves from the Department of Education is that we return this week as planned.  We are therefore planning to hold our PD day on Monday and for all children to return on Tuesday as originally communicated before Christmas.

We will of course notify you should this position change,

Please can we remind you:

*Parents and carers MUST wear face masks (unless exempt) when on school site which includes drop off and collection of children.  We ask that you practise social distancing and keep 2m+ apart at all times.

*Children MUST NOT attend for school if they or a member of the household are symptomatic (cough, temperature or loss of taste or smell).  We ask that you arrange testing and inform the school as soon as a result is received.  In the meantime the household MUST isolate.

*Children MUST NOT attend for school if they have been asked to isolate as a contact of a positive case.

Please email nicola.moody@taw.org.uk between now and Tuesday if your child will not return to school for COVID related reasons.  Phones will reopen 8.30am on Tuesday for usual absence reporting.

Thank you all for your continued support as we work together to keep our NJS family safe.
