Thank you – PTA Disco

Thank you to our amazing PTA for another very successful school disco! The PTA work very hard to ensure the children have a great time and raise valuable funds to invest in school.

Thank you to the staff who volunteered to supervise the children and to parents and carers for supporting the event.

Newport Show: Please enter this competition on the day!

Jupiter Group are doing an apple bobbing competition at Newport Show this year, children who take part get the apple they’ve bobbed to eat, and a plastic coin to pop into a coin slot that represent their school – the school with the most coins at the end of the show day WINS a months free fruit for their school and £100 worth of sports equipment of their choice.

Please enter this competition on Show Day-we won last year and the children loved the free fruit at school!

To help with logistics here at school, please may we ask that the male relatives attending for Yr 5 children arrive at NJS at 11.50am and the male relative for Yr 6 from 12.15pm.

NJS Uniform Reminder!

I can’t believe we are already coming towards the end of the uniform ‘transition’ year! Just a reminder that from September the new uniform policy, adopted by Governors in 2018, is compulsory for all children.

Wednesday 10th July – Open Evening

Open Evening will take place on Wednesday 10th July from 3.30 – 6pm. Parents and Carers are welcome into school to see current teachers and also to meet new teachers for September (no appointments necessary).

On this date at 4.30pm in the School Hall PC Claire Walker-Shale will lead a workshop for parents and carers centred around online safety. We would urge you to come along and find out more about how you can support and protect your children online.
