Year 5 Science Afternoon at Adams’ Grammar School 30.12.16

Year 5 had a fantastic time yesterday at Adams’ Grammar School. Our classroom for the afternoon was a Biology laboratory and we had full access to all the exciting equipment and resources that link to our Autumn term topic of Properties and Changes of Materials. Here are some photos of 5H having a super time sieving and mixing solutions,a exploring with filtration, evaporation and distillation. The children really enjoyed themselves and represented NJS brilliantly – well done! Miss H x

Swimming Success

James Frost, Jack Yates & James Hogan all completed in the Cubs County Swimming Gala in Shrewsbury as part of Tern Valley Team. James achieved a Gold & Silver & Jack achieved a Silver and all together they helped their Team win the Gala overall. Congratulations from NJS!

Achieving Success – Lauren Baseley 3K

Lauren returned to badminton on Saturday after an injury and got player of the week 🙂

She is so proud that she is going to be sharing her trophy in school 🙂

Achieving Success – Zac Downes 5M

Zac D has been taking part in Telford Junior ParkRun recently and this Sunday was awarded his half marathon wristband. Each race is 2km and he has now raced 13 times with a PB time of 9 mins 04 secs.
He is now aiming for his full marathon band for completing 21 races and is hoping to go under 9 minutes soon.

Well done Zac – keep achieving and break that 9minute barrier!
