Due to the changes in the Literacy curriculum children in Year 6 are expected to be secure with all KS2 spellings. There will be no choice of spellings, in terms of degree of difficulty. All children, of all abilities, need to learn the following for next week:

Please support your child to ensure spellings are recorded as accurately as possible in their homework books and they present their homework to a high standard. Also, there are no proper nouns, therefore there is no need for capitals apart from sentence work.

There is one word that requires a capital but the others MUST have lower case letters!

Encourage your children not to use capital letters inappropriately as this will impact on assessments later on in the year. Unless a word requires a capital letter it should always be in lower case.
