Dear Parents,

During this half term children will be taught the relevant knowledge from our RSE Curriculum.

Attached here for you to read is a joint letter from Mrs Moody and Mrs Pierce (Newport Infant School). Our approach to RSE is a common approach across both schools and the knowledge we teach the children builds upon prior knowledge.

There is also a presentation for you to read about the content of the RSE Curriculum, a sample of worksheets the children will use in each year group and a bank of appropriate vocabulary the children will meet in their lessons. A questionnaire is included here to gather feedback from you.

There is the right to withdraw your child from some elements of RSE (but not from the science curriculum). The form to complete should you wish to do so is also included here. If you wish to discuss matters then please approach the class teacher, myself or use the attached Questionnaire to raise any questions we can hopefully answer for you.

Jubilee Street Party – Thursday 26th May

There are details here for our Jubilee Street Party in the afternoon of Thursday 26th May.

We will of just had lunch and so children will need very little for their party plate- possibly just one piece of cake.
