Yr 5 – Friday 23rd June
A reminder to our Yr 5 families about Friday 23rd June:
Yr 5 Arthog children – this is the catch up activity for the day lost to snow. Please can children come into school wearing long sleeves and long trousers – these can be light weight / forest school style clothing. They will NOT be allowed to do some of the activities in short clothing. The children will need to bring PE kits with them to change into for the afternoon.
Yr 5 Non- Arthog children will be in class in the morning looking at Refugee Awareness day – they will need to be in school uniform. These children will also need PE kits to change into for the afternoon.
Children may also need water bottles, sun hats, cream etc
Many thanks
Mr M, Mrs P and Mrs N
Yr 4 Footballing Girls
Well done to our year 4 team who on Monday, played a friendly against SS Peter and Paul Catholic Primary School. It was a closely fought match, with both teams playing some excellent football. As legs began to tire in the second half, NJS were able to keep up the pressure and come away with the win. Well done
Yr 5 Kabaddi Workshop
With the help of the multi cultural service from Telford and Wrekin, year 5 all took part in a new sport this week. With the help of Mr Islam, from the Manchester Raiders Kabaddi Club, the children all learnt a tag version of the very popular game Kabaddi.
5M DT ~ Bird Box Making
5M really enjoyed starting to make their DT design bird boxes a reality this week. They got to use the hammers, nails, drills, saws, wood, glue etc to start to build their own versions of bird boxes. And it couldn’t have been completed in a cooler place, Beech’s Base (bonus time!) Keep you eyes peeled around our school site for the finished boxes!!
