5W Brass Workshop with BBS 🎺
5W had a fantastic workshop yesterday with the music department from Burton Borough School. We learnt lots about the brass family of instruments and we all learnt how to play Mary had a Little Lamb on the trumpet! The children absolutely loved it and their behaviour and learning attitude was outstanding. Children went home with a letter with information about upcoming lessons.

Children’s Mental Health Week
This week is Children’s Mental Health Week. The wellbeing of all members of our NJS family is at the heart of our school. Understanding ‘what is my mental health?‘ is vital for looking after our wellbeing. This week, these slides will be shared with children. They will be having discussions with staff and completing a piece of work following this.
Why not use this to open up a conversation at home this week about wellbeing with your children?
Have a great week everyone! Mrs Wheat x
Lost year 5 coat
Please could you check at home in case your child has accidentally taken home a burgundy hooded coat with Lilly’s name in. It was left on the playground on Wednesday and has not been seen since. Many thanks.

Please find attached the year 5 homework for this half term. Children have stuck this in their homework books today to bring home. If their homework book was not in school then they have brought home loose sheets to stick in!
Many thanks, the Y5 team.
