Esme has had a very rewarding week with her family’s new dog. Esme has spent lots of time helping her to settle in, as well as lots of walks in the park in all weather! Animals are a lovely way to look after our mental wellbeing, particularly if they need walking in the fresh air! Well done for your courage, patience and care, Esme!

Mental Health Awareness Week – Abigail
More nature inspired activities for mental health awareness week! Abigail looks like she is having a lovely time feeding the ducklings. Thanks for sharing, Abigail!
Mental Health Awareness Week – Faye and Logan
Well done to Faye and Logan for doing some super activities to look after their mental wellbeing. They have enjoyed lots of mental health awareness activities whilst listening to the birds and rain outside. They also did feelings jenga, feelings word searches, emoji throwing and strengths bingo. What great ideas!
Isaac – Mental Health Awareness Week!
Well done Isaac for your relaxing cloud spotting, lying on the ground spotting the shapes and looking at the moving clouds. What a lovely way to look after your mental wellbeing!
Next time we have a nice day, why not try this?
Mental health awareness week challenge
Children have been discussing and sharing ideas for how to connect with nature to celebrate mental health awareness week. I have set all children a challenge to do something over the next week to support their wellbeing linked to nature. The classes who impress me the most with their nature-inspired wellbeing activities will earn some bonus break time! Ideas include walks, bike rides, feeding ducks, nature inspired artwork, bird watching, planting or gardening, outside games etc.
Please send any photos to me (megan.hardy@taw.org.uk) and I will happily share them on the school website.
